7th PATHFINDER WALK MONDAY 30th AUGUST 2004 Event Registration No: DETAILS The event is named after the 2nd World War Pathfinder Squadrons which flew from airfields which surround the area of the walk. Distances of
13/23/32/42km are on offer with wonderful views across the countryside over which the Pathfinder Squadrons would have flown on their vital missions. This year another aircraft from the five used by the Pathfinder Squadrons appears on the mug and certificate. In all there will be five different mugs each depicting one of the aircraft flown by the Pathfinder Squadrons. The first event had the most famous of them all the Mosquito, then the Lancaster, Wellington, Halifax and the Stirling to find out this years look out for the entry forms at BWF and LDWA events. Or else come and take part and have your own certificate and mug. Event Start The Field Conington Cambridge, near the White Swan. Please note this is the Conington off the A14 not the A1. Grid Reference TL323664 Routes Red 42km 0730-0900hrs Green 32km 0730-0900hrs Blue 23km 0900-1100hrs Yellow 13km 0900-1100hrs Entry The walk is open to any individual, youth group, business or social teams from the UK and abroad. Walkers under 13 years MUST have parental consent and be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be available at the start and finish point. The organisers are not liable for accidents, theft and or damage to property. Every effort will be made to make this an enjoyable event. This event does not fall within the scope of the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations because none of the routes, go over moorland, go over 600 metres, go more than 30 minutes travelling time from an accessible road.
